Meet Our Staff

Gentle Birth Clinic provides safe, confidential, professional health care. Every client receives gentle, sensitive, holistic assistance from a qualified, experienced Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM). A CNM is educated and licensed in the two disciplines of nursing and midwifery to provide well-women gynecology from puberty throughout the life cycle, including menopause. Gentle Birth Clinic specializes in homebirth services.

Director of clinical services, Carey Ann Ryan, CNM/ARNP received her second Master's degree in Nurse Midwifery in the high risk tertiary center of University of Illinois Hospital. Carey Ann prides herself in bringing high risk experience to her high touch setting. She is not only a provider of this option, she's a believer, having had five of her six children at home. Most major insurance programs now reimburse directly to nurse midwives/nurse practitioners in independent practice.
